Take A Moment: Blogroll Amnesty Day

February 3rd is Blogroll Amnesty Day so hey, can't ever start that too early, eh? I lifted the pic from Dugan over at American Street 'cause he said to :-)
I saw this originally over at Blue Gal, the first to blogroll Play On! Her willingness to encourage those of us working on finding our voices is just one of many of her stellar qualities as evidenced on her blog. Thanks!
I honestly don't know how to determine if a blog is "smaller" than us here, but in the spirit of community, here are some linkys that I enjoy:
David Rees' front page declares "The White House Isn't a Timeshare"....... I like him already! :-)
Get Your War On has some pretty good comics strips there. Thanks to Tanbark for those.
Wow.... I'm coming up empty here. Apparently, I don't get out much. Note to self: bookmark those sites you get a kick out of for next year *rolley eyes* I've got to get organized!
Thanks for these fine folks:
Driftglass
Blue Gal
American Street
PhysioProf
Just today Busted Knuckles got off his ass honored us on his blogroll!
Ornery Bastard
for blogrolling our little Wildwood adventure here. Thanks to our dear commenters who come and visit with us and lead us to their blogs as well! We're having some big fun with this and fighting the good fight along with you fine folks. FIGHT!!!
Tanbark and Larue have started their posting adventures in the last week and I'm thrilled with that. It only took one smack of the ruler upon the desktop to get them off the dime *blush*. They rock!
I add Skippy today to our blogroll in honor of the Day.
Linky Love to all :-)
Take a Moment:
"When the Fields are White with Daisies Once Again/Wildwood Flower" - by Lost Hills
"Red Tail Hawk" - played by "Out of the Blue" at a festival jam
Enjoy! :-)

I LOVES me some Kate Wolf, Golden Rolling Hills Of California and that Red Tailed Hawk! Sweet stuff.
WITH A RESO!! Beauty, eh! *G*
Blogs?
To comment perhaps, FDL, GNB.
Not as much as I used to. *G*
I'm REAL frequent on a few bluegrass and music blogs I won't mention. Oh, and LOLKat is a regular read, too.
But everyday, to check in on, these rawhk.
I get informed, updated and more on both national and international affairs. And that's what the blogosphere has done for me, made it EASY to be informed, MUCH MORE informed, than even a curious progressive kinda guy like has always been.

hey, myrtle june, thanks for participating!
and, since you put me on your roll, i'm happy to do the same for you!
Yeah, Blue Gal particularly kicks fucking ass!! This amnesty shit is cool! It makes blogrolling fun instead of a chore.
One historical question: I started my blog because Driftglass and his commenters are heartless bastards. Apparently, Driftglass started his blog because Gilliard and his commenters were heartless bastards.
How many of the non-huge progressive blogs owe their existence ultimately to Gilliard's heartless bastardy?
Probably a lot, Physioprof. Steve gave voice to people and inspired them. Nuff said.
And thanks for the kicks fucking ass comment I don't know if anyone has ever said that to me before. Ha.
Thanks to the fine folks here for the linky love, too. xo
larue - I know! Kate's song and a fine job. The reso makes it! I played the Norman Blake song a couple of times at a jam but man, lost hills is a fine flatpicker! Good links, thanks for adding them :-)
Skippy! Thanks for coming by :-) And thanks to you and Jon Swift for the day because really this is what its about for us here. Can't tell you how many lovely clicky trails I've been down from people's blogrolls, especially smaller ones. I didn't know to save them or I'd have more to contribute. Next year though.... :-)
Blue Gal!!!! :-D So good to see you here! Giving voice and inspiration is exactly what Steve did and really, its what we all do for each other in one way or another. Community rocks! :-)
PhysioProf, Here's to the "heatless bastards" in alla us! *clinky glass* ;-)
Specifically, it was Tanbark who gimme my voice back a couple of years ago and then insisted I use it. Talk about yer heartless bastid! ;-) I'm forever grateful to him for that.
Same thing with music. Tanbark, Larue, and I know that the good music is at the small festivals or in the various campground jams at the big festivals. The mainstage shows are nice, but the real pickers are in the parking lot or the campground. ;-)
